Pod pokroviteljstvom veleposlanikov Slovenije in Madžarske so se 21. in 22. aprila 2015 v Monoštru sestali madžarski in slovenski župani, poslovneži, strokovnjaki s področja regijskega razvoja in predstavniki akademske sfere. Posledično sta obe strani naknadno podpisali Monoštrski poziv in nadaljevali z organizacijo rednih letnih srečanj, s ciljem povečati in okrepiti sodelovanje med deležniki sosednjih narodov.
